Over the past 6 years, ETIC has contributed to numerous events to inspire youth to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). In April, ETIC participated in its second career fair at Los Cerros Middle School in Danville, California.
ETIC hosted a booth and environmental stewardship contest in which students were asked to provide solutions for California’s drought. Over 80 entries were submitted demonstrating critical and creative thinking toward water conservation habits.
Our goal was to get students excited about STEM through application of science on a real life issue facing California. The students’ responses were innovative and made it difficult to select the top three entries.
